The vast beaches of glorious white sand on the Atlantic coast are the biggest in France.  For nature lovers there is the national park of the Pyrenean mountains and the enormous Landes of Gascogne forest.

For national heritage and history lovers who are motorhoming in the Dordogne or motorhoming in the Lot et Garonne, there are some exceptional prehistoric sites, châteaux and fortresses, tracing the ancestral history of the region.

For those of us who like to spoil ourselves, if you’re motorhoming in the Pyrenees Atlantique or motorhoming in the Landes, make the most of all the local specialities and produce available in Aquitaine.  From the oysters of the Bay of Arcachon to the sheep’s milk cheese, there’s plenty to taste.  If you’re motorhoming in the Gironde, sample the Armagnac or the celebrated wines of the region, you’ll not be disappointed.
